Traditional Dance And Music Culture of Punjab

 Punjab is the beautiful state full joy and happiness . Old culture of was also famous in all over India . And the new Punjabi songs are famous in all over the World . Punjab is known for its traditional dance forms and music . Punjab is known to have one of the most diverse and expressive culture in India and the Music and dance is an important component for showcasing it. The dances of Punjab are the most energetic forms of performing arts that you will ever witness. Almost all dances of the state are accompanied with a dhol. There are no dances where men and women dance together. Bhangra is for men whereas Giddha is performed by women.

The main Punjabi folk dance for females is giddha or giddhah and for men or for both men and women is bhangda or bhangra.
The dances are typically performed at times of celebration, such as harvest (Visakhi), weddings, melas (festivals) like Lohri, Jashan-e-Baharan (Spring Festival) etc.

The traditional music on the traditional musical instruments of the Punjab region. There is a great repertoire of music from the time of birth through the different stages of joy and sorrow till death. Music play very vital role in everybody's life .
And Punjab is famous for its traditional dance and music culture its dance music culture is very inspiring . People of Punjab use to present there traditional dance forms and music occasionally  on birth, marriage, death, love, separation, beauty, social and economical status, village lifestyle, food, nature, bravery, folklores & folktales, folk romances, folk & historical heroes, festivals and many more.
